Nina Seffusatti

Nina was born in Denmark, in 1993 she moved with her Frenchborn husband and 1-year old daughter to the south of France, where she still has her home.

After her high school diploma, with a specialized study program in cinema and foreign languages - English, German and French, and an urge to figure out what to do in life, she traveled and worked in USA and France for a couple of years, and worked as an assistant for a very prestigious Danish publishing house. During her studies of Scandinavian and French languages and literature at the University of Copenhagen, Nina worked in a bookstore and as a translator of French novels, and continued her discovery of different European countries thanks to the Inter-Rail Pass and the cheapest possible flights.

Nina's very first trip abroad at the age of 7 with her parents to the island Mallorca, Spain, was a true eye-opener - another language, other colours and people - and her first inspiration to travel and to work in tourism. A 3-month trip in 1979 to California was going to be the first of 6 trips to USA. Nina has also travelled to Italy, Spain, Morocco, Tunisia. India, Thailand, Iran..

In France Nina started working as a local guide in Provence 1994, she is professionel guide-lecturer, with a particular interest in Van Gogh, Roman history, arts, cinema and literature. A part of her work also includes accompanying and guiding French carpenter apprentices on an enxchange programs in Denmark.

With her job as a Rick Steves tourguide in Scandinavia, she reconnected with her roots, rediscovered the beauty of fjords, mountains, small islands, the design and architecture, and the amazingly beautiful capitals of Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen.

Whenever Nina finds time for it, she enjoys being outdoors, and particularly at the seaside for the mental relaxing, meditating with the sound of the waves, ot walking and bicycling. Reading, listening to all kinds of music, going to museums and exhibits with classical or modern art, and watching movies have all been, and still are, important parts of her life, And life would not be quite right without spending time with friends, sharing a good meal with a bottle of wine, while intensely discussing food choice and recipes, and of course the quality of the wine. Lately she has found a passion for doing her own paintings, being inspired by her work as a guide and lecturer about Van Gogh's life and work.
