ABOUT THE BOOK
The Invisible Guardian is the first novel of the Baztán trilogy, a series of thrillers based on the Basque Country. In this first book, we will meet Amaia Salazar, a homicide inspector who has to return to her hometown to investigate the murder of some teenage girls.

The Basque mythology and ancient superstitions will cause Amaia to doubt her rational approach to this investigation. She will also have to confront her past to try to solve the mystery.

The Baztán trilogy, has been translated to 36 languages—over one million copies of each book have been sold. Netflix has produced three movies based on the trilogy.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dolores Redondo, was born in San Sebastian (Basque Country) in 1969. When she was just 14 years old, she used to write short stories and children books. In 2009, she wrote her first book
The Privileges of the Angel. But it was not until 2013, when The Invisible Guardian was released, that she got global attention.

Being from the Basque Country, Dolores has always been surrounded by strong, hard-working, and powerful women. We need to understand that the Basque culture has always been a matriarchy. It is hard to believe that Basque women in the Middle Ages had the same rights as men had. They could vote, own property even inherit from her parents. Dolores Redondo imbues her fierce protagonist with some of the most compelling characteristics that epitomize Basque women.
